Office Move
Traci Kenworth
I’ve decided to move my office out of my bedroom and into a fairly larger area in the living room in a sort of alcove I have there. Where it is now has grown too cramped and besides, I kind of think it announces to the world: I’m a writer, with no ifs, ands, or buts. You see, though I haven’t gone out of my way to get the word out, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s no sense in keeping mum about what I’m doing.
So I haven’t won any awards, gotten published, or found legions of fans yet, that doesn’t mean what I’m doing isn’t leading me anywhere. Some in my family know I write but I don’t go out of the way to share what I’m working on at the moment, how far I am in my work-in-progress, or that I’m approaching agents with my stories. Mostly because it sort of feels like I haven’t gotten where I want to be.
And that’s what’s kept me quiet. I was waiting for that phone call, that cover, that feel of the book in my hands. However, if I’m going to enjoy the journey leading up to all that, it’s time to take a stand. So instead of writing in a small space, I’ll have more room and I can open myself up to where I want to go in life. How about you? What kind of space do you write in? Have you increased its area to show how much more serious you are about your writing?

My “office” is in my bedroom. The only other place to put it is in the cooooold basement. No thanks.
Love your new office space, Traci. :)

Lol, I wouldn’t choose the basement either. As long as your comfortable in your space, it’s all good. Thanks!!
