Traits of a Fantasy Hero/Heroine I like:

1. They’re brave. Think any of the members of the Company of the Ring here.
2. They’re loyal. Think of Samwise’s committment to Frodo.
3. They don’t give up. Even when the odds are against them, think of Faramir and his refusal to let the Hobbits be taken by the Orcs.

Some Fantasy books I love: ANYTHING by J.R.R. Tolkien, Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials, Susan Cooper’s The Dark is Rising, C.S. Lewis’ Narnia, just to name a few.
