I wanted to ask: to all you Indie authors out there, if you’re publishing a series do you put one book out at a time or publish them close together? I’ve heard of as little as a month between them. Which way do you think does better? I’m still editing my book at this point, but I’m wondering if it would be better to hold it back and wait for the others to be ready.

My book is YA Fantasy with horror elements if that makes a difference.

Also: do you just write straight through a series? Or do you sometimes publish different books, even different genres between? Is this a drawback?

Does promotion suffer when you do close together or different books, different genres?

Thanks for the advice in advance!
