Writerly Things 1/14/18

Traci Kenworth

As I hinted at the end of last year, there are some changes to the blog and its posts. I will still post on Sun., Mon., Tues.., and Fri. but because of some changes in my schedule I will need to streamline my posts. Most of this is due to wanting to do what I am: write. I’m going to be working on Book 1, my current project TGW that I’m in first draft form with right now. I’m also going to be working on Book 2, in second draft form. I’ve set my former project aside until betas are done on it. I’ve also scheduled time for marketing, which is me getting out to other blogs as much as I can. Also, I’ve decided to work on some short stories again. So, yeah, lots more writing in an effort to get projects finished and out there.

As far as the writing links go, I’ve broken the genre stuff down to three links apiece. Short Stories/Anthologies/Novella, Poetry, Indie, and Craft will each still have six links as I feel these are the areas that can help other writers the most. The category: Other will also be halved to fifteen. I’ve been noticing lately how long my posts for Writing Links are and I’m trying to shorten them. However, I don’t want to lose the good stuff. I am trying something new with adding a bit of each post the link is from to pique the reader’s interest.

With reading links, I’m still posting cover reveals, new releases, and book reviews. I will give a snippet of each link’s post as well, again, to interest the reader. I hope you all will like the changes and stay with me through the growing pains as I continue to bring you relevant links. You can probably tell what goals I set for the New Year. It’s going well so far. I’ve even scheduled days off as recommended by Kristine Kathryn Rusch on her blog. On these days, it’s nice to do other things that interest me that I didn’t have time for until now.

Have a great day, take care, and God bless!

    1. I’m trying to give everyone more of a snippet of what’s in each post to encourage them to visit the blog. Hope it works out. And thank you on the writing font!
