Writerly Things…7/29/18
Traci Kenworth
This past week, we had problems with an electrical outage, and our internet, phone, and cable were down as well. So, a lot of lost time. Plus, it stormed a lot and my son has anxiety about storms since he was younger made worse by two tornados last year that damaged our home. I spent time driving him through town to lessen his fears though I don’t like driving in storms. He has phobias about the house not the car in times like this. It was late at night and we drove to WalMart since its open twenty-four hours. Some fast food places are as well but we’re feeling the financial strain more and more with my ex not paying his arrearages.
I’m slowly getting back into reblogging when I can. I don’t have everyone’s blogs coming to my email yet, just the ones I’ve got on WordPress reader right now. I will be adding others as I can. If I don’t get your blog by next week, drop me a line on here and I’ll put it in. There may be some that slip through the cracks as I didn’t have a lot of time to list blogs that don’t post as often. I have like five notebook pages full of others, but like I said, some are on WordPress so that makes things easier for me.
I’m still plugging away at the beta as often as I can. I think I’ve made real progress whether I get in PitchWars or not. I hope to, don’t get me wrong. It would be nice to have a mentor and to go through the rounds necessary to hopefully catch an agent’s eye. I read an interesting post by a former mentee who said that not getting requests from agents doesn’t mean your manuscript is doomed. She went on with what she learned and snagged an agent through querying. So, there is hope even if you don’t get the nod. To work with seasoned professionals who know their stuff would be an honor.
How did everyone’s weekend go? How are your projects coming along? Have a great week, take care, and God bless!
Oh, and two shiny new ideas hit me this week while I was editing, lol. More future projects to come.

Can’t say that I miss Ohio weather… God Bless you, girl hang in there and know that the excitement of the new ideas might just make up for any previous stresses.

Driving in a storm is not fun. Best of luck with the PitchWars. :/
