Welcome to updates!

I have been busy, struggling to edit two books at the same time. I’ve since pulled back somewhat on one so that the other can move ahead. The trouble is, neither of these books will be ready to publish for a while as they’re part of 4-5 books series and I’ve been advised to write all of them and then release then a month apart to build up momentum.

The other items I will work through and publish asap are a collection of short stories about a man and his cat and then a flash fiction collection about nature and a person. They will be a steady course for me in the future. As I will work on two short story collections this fall and the flash fiction one. Meanwhile, I’ll begin in Jan. to write another short story collection and then next Apr., another flash fiction to sort of go back-and-forth between the type and styles.

The reason it’s taking so long is finances. I need to pay an IP lawyer for advice on taking the business public for one and all the legal things that implies. I also have to find and buy covers for the collections. Then there’s the DBA and so much more to do. I know some of you are aware of the costs of a small business. I’m trying to learn everything and set aside for these things as I go.

I’ve already acquired a business address. See my newsletter which I didn’t realize is required for businesses. I’ve learned a lot through the different classes on AutoCrit and also DeadlinesforWriters. Not to mention, Reedsy and Fiverr and other sites. If you’re thinking of starting a writing business, you may want to look into some of these.

Other sites I’ve found helpful are Plottr, Trello, and ipostal. I hope these help you in your own ventures and i hope you know you are welcome to sign up for my newsletter at https://www.traciashbebooks.com, Thank you for reading and being a part of my journey and for those of you I’ve learned so much from over the years! Take care.
