    Complications…

The scene I’m working on at the moment is giving me a bit of problems. I’m changing it around here and there, but just not happy with it yet. I’ve learned so much craft-wise this week. From not letting your hero/heroine win every battle throughout the story to five common first chapter mistakes and so…

    Still chugging along editing…

Sometimes the littlest issues become big during editing. Take for instance what I spent most of this past week on: a word. Yes, a word. Lol. Some of my critiquers felt I shouldn’t use a generic term like “monsters,” and I realized they were right. So began my search. The problem became in the Native…

    Praises…

Praises to our Lord and Savior for the good news we received yesterday regarding the lymph node sample taken from my mom. It’s benign!! Going through this all has helped open my eyes to the strength families must have to endure whatever they’re are facing. I pray and offer hugs to all those who are…

    Where I’m At…

I finished my read-through of my first draft. Monday, I began the slow but necessary process of edits. I’m pretty excited and happy with what I’ve come up with so far. I’ve changed one character from male to female and yesterday, I decided to put her in conflict-mode with the hero. I think this…

    Once Again….

Once again I have to apologize for not having a book review ready this week. My wonkiness with my ear (loss of hearing etc.) have shaken my life up at the moment and I didn’t get my book read. I’m 100 pages into it and there’s 600 pages, so I know I have a ways…

    No post today…

Sorry, the book review will be postponed this week. I have swimmer’s ear and it’s kept me feeling miserable and in pain most of last week and this week.
